I searched the forum for this problem and couldn't find any info on it. Hopefully someone has experienced this before. I just changed the oil out and tried to reset the oil life. After holding the reset button per the instructions for 10 seconds I get a orange service engine warning on the display where the oil life was displayed. Then when the oil life comes back up I get an envelope at the bottom of the display with a 1 by it. Turn the key off and then back on and the envelope goes away. I tried it three times with the same results. Is there a step missing in the instructions? I'm doing this when I have the display showing Trip A and the oil life. I haven't found a menu that will take me to a screen that shows just the oil life. Is there one?

 

-goto the 'oil life' on your MID
-hold select button in for 10 seconds (until service message comes up)
-hold select button again for 10 seconds
-it will ask to hit 'ok' or 'cancel' - hit your select button to reset

 

Thanks...That orange screen threw me off. I just went out and did it per your instructions and it worked.

 

you probably followed the manual...it actaully left out the step to hold the select button again when the service message comes up, as rimz pointed out.. this usually throw alot of people off when they do it for the first time...
