Oil Life Reset

Hey everyone,

I just got an oil change on my car at Quick Lane Tire and Auto. After the change my oil life still read the same amount. I asked the Service advisor if they actually did the oil change and he said on Acura's the Owner needs to reset the Computer so the Oil Life will read the correct amount and that the oil change was done. However when i read the owners manual it states that it will update once the oil change is done. Has anyone else experienced this problem or should i just take the car back to the Quick Lane?

Thanks

read your owner book again- it tells you how to go to the setup screen and reset the oil minder
You have to tell the computer when work is done, its not physic~

dont expect speedie to know how-and stop taking your car there- let a place that cares about keeping you as a regular service customer do it or do it yourself

Wanna bet the oil drain plug is too tight?!

You gotta reset it yourself. Everyone here was a noob at one point. What u gotta do is select and hold on your reset key on the steering wheel for 10 sec. From there u will be good. Have a good day.

If maintenance service is done by someone other than your dealer, reset the display as follows:

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II). Press the < or > button repeatedly until the oil life is displayed. If you are sure you want to reset the display, press the Select/ Reset button to select ‘‘OK.’’ If you do not want to reset the display, press the < or > button to select ‘‘Cancel.’’ Press and hold the Select/Reset button for 10 seconds. The multiinformation display will ask for a confirmation.
