Oil Consumption
I have a 2004 Acura Tl with 140,000 miles on it and since my last oil change which was about 135,000 it has been using a lot of oil and i even have been using 5w-30 instead of 5w-20 and i found out that oil has been coming out of my exhaust giving the back of my car a nice film of black on it and by the tips you can tell theirs oil coming out of it. Any ideas as to what could be doing this or what is causing this to happen?

Why repeat the post with a new post? Sounds like you are just having multiple issues resulting from your engine rebuild. Before you had white smoke and now you have black.
Black smoke could be from a few different things. Need more detail such as when you notice the black smoke. All the time? Only at start up? when you accelerate etc.. Do you have CEL on? if so what is the code?

There isn't a lot of black smoke but if u look at the inside of my exhust tips they are pure black and my dads mechanic at his business said there is def oil coming out if the exhaust and there are no codes but if there are they usually are misfires and my friend was riding his gxr behind me and said he noticed black smoke come our when I accelerated one time

More info about this Honda's problem: -->
I work for Acura as a tech, the rare problem was porus blocks, the block would sweat an oil leak, and get ready for this the fix by American honda is JB weld, then if oil is still leaking, replaced short block..

my 05 tl is misfireing in all cylinder i changed the spark plugs the coil packs seem to be good. the dealer has a tl with 800 miles doing the samething and he had it or 3 weeks. help please. thanks

Well, I've had this same problem twice with the cylinder 3 misfire first at 62,000 miles and now at 79,000 miles. The first time Honda replaced the spark plug and did a software update which was goodwilled by my dealer since I was out of warranty. The second time I received a new small block and new parts to fix the engine because of scoring in cyliner 3. My service manager was honest and upfront stating I could just put another spark plug in but after he looked down the cylinder walls he noticed that the piston walls were scored. The total bill was $6900 which Honda paid for in full, keep in mind I was out of warranty. I also had a new water pump and timing belt put in which was at no cost to me. My service manager said that Honda is well aware of this problem and there doing everything they can to keep the customer happy.
