Odd wear here, what's the likely cause and repair

Pic related. Discovered this while adjusting valves and doing a timing job.

Anyone have input on cause, effect, repair? Is my cam done? Just replace that part? Is it called a roller rocker?

Appreciate those links, you think that would've been a lubrication issue? Engine has 240k on it at this point. Would the cam be smoked? Seems prudent to me to design the roller with a lower modulus as to preferably wear over a cam.
