Odd clicking from tire?
Greetings, I'm new to this site but not at all new to Acuras. I recently purchased a 2007 TL base non-nav 6spd MT. Long story here because my mechanic even doesent know.
Last week to avoid a deer, I racked into a curb pretty hard. However no visual damage aside from curb rash and it was the passenger side. Since then, I notice an intermittent clicking (almost like a rock is in the tire) from the driver side. Its not an axle, I know axle clicking, this happens A) when turning, only one click, again not an axle noise and B) driving straight and just when i hit the throttle it clicks. Any insight? its not a few clicks, its one click. its very odd

wheel bearing?
and if you curbed ur TL yeah you prolly bent something. I curbed my CL trying to avoid a red light runner while making a left turn and it was $5K to fix that
major damage was
front sub frame
passenger lower control arm
bent rim
passenger side of the car pushed up
bent front exhaust pipe
condensor pipe bent
subframe
bent fender
minor damage to door (where fender made contact (i ended up in a ditch and that is what pushed the passenger side up a little

amazing what damage is hidden in the seemingly smallest of accidents
its hard to tell where noises actually come from - especially driving alone to diagnose- take a friend
a curb shot will throw something out of place or worse
Look for new bright shiny metal places-where something is suddenly rubbing

A worn / damaged wheel bearing usually doesn't make a clicking sound. It sounds more like a shallow grinding sound. Definitely find the culprit asap.
