Not starting up well
Not starting up well
So I went to go turn on my car this morning and instead of it just turning right on it struggled for about a few more seconds then its supposed to. And the noise sounded alot slower then usual. Then when I was coming back to my car from lunch it almost didn't even start. It took me 4 tries to get it going. The cars running perfectly though, no lag or weird noises. And there aren't any warning lights coming on. Could it be the battery getting old? I have like 27k miles on the car. If anyone knows it would be great.
The Battery Warranty for 2005 Acura's or newer is 4 Years (From date of Purchase) Unlimited Mileage! After that 1st 4 Years and you purchase a battery it comes with a 100Month warranty 1st 3 Years is FREE replacement, Unlimited Mileage.
My car does the same thing as the OP but only sporadically. But whats weird is that it only happens when I get out of class, not anywhere else. I am guessing it is my battery as well.
go to any parts store and ask for a charging system test- its free and takes a few minutes
battery - alternator- starter draw are all tested
the OE batteries have a short life in many cases- the whole area is bundled up in covers and low airflow
If our knowledgeable sponsor says 4 years is warranty then take the 08 in first thing for a ck up (assuming parts store says bad batt)
short trips under 10 miles with heavy use of lights- stereo ac etc will drain the battery and not get time to recharge during the trip

even brand new batts, or any part, can be defective
new batteries need an hour drive cruising (no headlights, cabin fan on lowest if needed)
that will let the alternator get batt up to fully charged for the cars needs
Then get system retested at parts stores everywhere for free
