Question Noises after J-Pipe install

Has anyone experienced creaking/screeching noises after installing their J-Pipe (RV6 3) I tend to hear the noise when pulling away from a light or coming to a stop and on the occasional start-up? Also, if I give the car gas while I have my foot on the brake I can hear it as well, it seems to be when there is flex or torsion that I hear it. Hanger maybe?

^sounds like something isnt tightened.
go back and recheck all of your work.

It's a very good idea to go back and check "exhaust" mods because the heat expands and contracts the metal. sometimes loosening bolts.

Just wanted to give a quick update on this issue. It turns out the j-pipe was hitting/rubbing at certain times the oil splash guard. Removed the guard and problem has since been resolved. Funny thing is, I have not seen all TL/Type S models with this splash guard.

i think its the plastic transmission "guard", and yeah you're supposed to cut away a little portion of it. i'm surprised nobody noticed that during install, the jpipe will blatenly rub up against it lol

either way, glad you figured it out!

Plastic wouldn't be making the sound I heard.....

It's a soild metal splash guard in front of the drain bolt. Maybe I should post a picture.

And yes, I trimmed the plastic splash guard.

The only thing that got in the way for me was the black plastic. I Danny Trejo'd that sucker off.

Here is a picture of the metal splash guard which sits behind the drain bolt. This was the cause of the noise.
