Unhappy Need some real help

So I was driving today and all of a sudden my TL jerked and made a bunch of grinding noises. After that the car would not move no matter how much throttle I gave it and would not get into gear at all. It makes a loud grinding noise when I put it in park. I checked the road for anything and found a tranny mount. A friend of mine says that because the mount some how just tore off, the tranny isn't aligned right and that's why it wont go into gear. So theoretically if I get new mounts this will fix it. So...
1: Would this actually have a possibility of fixing the issue
2: Is there any other possible damage made by me trying to put it into gear after the mount fell off?
3: How screwed am I ; _ ;

A mount doesn't just fall off....you need to take a closer look to see what happened. My guess is you broke an axle and not a mount.

Have it towed to a shop and have all of the damaged/worn mounts replaced; there is a fair chance you'll be good to go.

I have a feeling that it's an axle as well.

Yeah, that thought crossed my mind as well; getting it up on a lift will tell lots of tales.

I haven't had my axle break yet, but can tell you it always happens at the worst possible times.
my friend was loading up his family from a errand and tried to back out of the parking spot, but couldn't. Sucks that they had to find alternative ways home, lol

Yea so after further review my friend is dumb. The part we found on the ground is the axle balance weight. So it looks like I just need a new axle

Much cheaper than a repair on the tranny.

Don't have your friend fix the issue.
