need help with pin stripe removal.

Hey fellas I got a small problem. I have been taking off my pin stripes since 11am. They are painted on and I have removed all of it accept the front driver side fender. It is cleared over. I don't know how it was cleared over but it is. Really need some info on how to remove this if anyone has info. I used non acetone nail polish remover to get all of the other stripes off.

nail polish remover? why ruin your paint?

Get a heat gun, or hair dryier, or park your car in the sun for a few hours...use Goo Gone, and slowly peel it off...then wav and bux...

Do not use paint thinners to remove the strip.

no man it was painted on. I got the non acetone nail polish remover method from another thread and it worked pretty good. after using the polish remover I polished and waxed the areas, it came out very good. But I still have onw fender with stripes on it. I don't know what to do. I tried easy off oven cleaner with no luck. Should I go to a body shop to get it removed by wet sanding?

I dunno bro, the easy off process worked for me. You may want to let it sit a bit longer. For those who think this is very dangerous for your car, check out this link which is what got me to take the risk:

some dealers do use a painted on pin stripe....my guess would be your section that has a clearcoat over the pin stripe was a repainted panel....

if you have vinyl pinstripe then park your car in the hot sun and leave it for 30 mins. Then use your fingernail to remove the pinstripe. Pull it up to get a good piece and pull in a backwards motion. Steady and firm. If too firm or fast then it will break and it makes it harder. Just keep at it and it will come off. Then use polishing compound on the paint where you removed it to get rid of the residue! Wa la! That's it! I removed my gold ones from my redondo red pearl paint!

i am guessing you didnt actually read the post did you...why would you use compound to remove the glue residue from the pinstripe...all you need is some goo gone or wd 40, there is no reason to cut your paint....
