Need help with Check engine light.
Need help with Check engine light.
I got the code P2631 and I switched the O2 sensor with a new one. When first installed the light went away, but after 20 or so minutes it came back on. What could cause this? Is it the sensor I bought is bad or something else. I have a 2004 Acura tl.
My buddy who is a mechanic changed it for me and he gets the same code. He has worked on my TL before so I trust he knows what he is doing

Put the "used" suspected bad sensor into upper bank 1 position and see if a code follows. Think it should be P2628-Oxygen Sensor Pumping Current Trim Circuit High Bank 1 Sensor 1.
After replacement, if no code indicating bank 1 sensor 1, it's not a sensor problem, but if the above code follows the sensor, then it is a bad sensor.
