Need advice on Upper Control Arm replacement

The bushing on my Upper Control arm is very loose. I have not seen anything on replacing it alone. Looks like I will have to replace the arm that it is attached to it. Has ANYONEdone this? Any tips?

You'll have to buy the entire control arm. The new one comes with both bushings and ball joint

Also have to remove the strut assembly out because one of the bolts that holds the control arm will not fully come out. Since the spring is in the way.

Make sure to tighten the ball joint screw with the suspension loaded.
Place a hydraulic jack under the strut mount on the lower control arm and raise it. This will put the load on the joints and such. Then tighten and place new cotter pin in.

umm,....I think that's about all you'll encounter.
Fairly straight forward and easy to do.
Just make sure to support the car on jack stands when doing this.

Very simple to replace as long as you are comfortable working on your own car. I replaced mine with the skunk2 upper control arm and it took me less than 90 minutes. Make sure you get an alignment when you are done.

Is it possible to press out the old upper ball joint and replace it? Just out of curiosity.

it can be done

I thought about going that route but I found an oem U.C.A for 50 bucks.

it would of cost me more to buy the ball joint and tools.
