Need advice regarding P302 error

I have a 2008 Acura TL type S with 195,000 miles on it. In the past week, it has been displayed a P302 error code and check engine light when starting up. After 2 or 3 days, though, the check engine light will turn off. I was going to take it to the mechanic this morning, but the light turn off after being on for 3 days.

The engine does not idle rough, there does not seem to be any lack of power, and fuel efficiency is unchanged. Should I take it to the mechanic anyways, even without the code, or just keep driving until the problem occurs again?

P0302 is a misfire in cylinder 2. Could be something as small as spark plugs or coils to valve issues or bad compression.

But wouldn't either of those show in the form of rough idling, sluggish acceleration, or decreased fuel economy.

I guess my real question is this: If the light has gone off, which means the system is no longer detecting the misfire, is there any point in taking the car to the mechanic, or do I need to wait until the error is actively showing.

I will get the screenshot next time I am in the car, but I am 100% sure it was P302 (Cylinder 2 misfire).
