When i drive with my windows a lil bit open they RATTLE. I know rattles are a common problem with TL's but the windows on my previous CL-S didnt have this problem. I can also hear this annoying noise when the windows are down and i close my doors. This only happens with the front 2 windows. I hate rattles my moms 7 year old camry doesnt have these annoying rattles. They make my car sound CHEAP.
Do you guys have the same problem? The dealer says its a design problem and that it cant be fixed. I paid 40k for this car and cant stand this noises.

 

No window rattles here. The dealer is blowing smoke up your @$$. They should be able to fix it.

 

there is a window rattle on all TL's. Just roll your window all the way down and close the doors....

My '05 windows do NOT rattle, if that's what you're asking...
The windows should not rattle, open or closed, when you are driving down the road.

Whoever thinks their window dont rattle try shutting the front doors with the windows down then you will hear it.

 

I dont mean only when i close the door. When the window is halfway open or opened just a little and im driving on the freeway they rattle...

ALL TL's with the WINDOWS DOWN the glass RATTLES. Period. My CL-S did this as well and most cars DO.

 

not really most cars do...I have a 1993 mazda mpv minivan and the windows are quiet when i close the windows...Also I had 1993 mazda mx3 and its also quiet. My sisters tc, camry and dads ML doesnt really rattle....I think its the fact that Honda Engineers or builders just got lazy on that area.

 

OP was initially asking about a rattle from the window(s) WHILE DRIVING. I assume he is doing this with the door closed. I don't have any rattle from the windows in any position while moving, and would scream bloody murder at any car maker that would sell a car where that occurs.
I remember a rattle from the window occuring when I closed the driver's door while parked with the window down, if you are referring to that "rattle." Don't encounter that rattle much at all since the windows are usually closed when I close the door(s), and I don't slam the door when I get in after rolling windows down with the remote.

 

I recently took my 06 tl to get looked at the dealership because my front two windows seemed to be rattling like you are experiencing. my windows where rattling when they were rolled down a bit or all the way down. i took it to the dealership and ended up being my window cables were broken somehow either when i got my tint put on how i have no idea or it came like that. and some screws werent securely tighten. id suggest taking it to the dealership cause they managed to fix the rattling problem i was experiencing and also fix my windows from scratching my tint when they went down. so thats what id suggest trying or doing. although even though they replaced my rear subwoofer put more screws and clips on it from stop rattling and put foam underneath still it rattles and they tell me its cause of the trunk and its a common problem oh well.

Yes that is what we are talking about. When you close the door with the window down into the door itself it will rattle.

Every car we have owned the windows rattled while down a little. Some louder than others.

 

doesn't the rattle sound come due to the vacum type enccloseure that the TL's use? I have driven a few BMWs and MBs that use the same vacum technology and they rattle with the windows down even a little

 

My Drivers door rattled when I closed the door if window wasnt all the way up. I took it to the Acura dealer . They looked at me like I was crazy. Then before they took the door panel apart I guess they talked to Acura . Acura told them not to touch it and that they will send mechanics of there own to look at it. Acura has heard of the problem and wanted to see what was causing it by having there own mechanics look at it from corporate.. I live in a town that is 5 hours from any Acura Dealer so they had there mechanics come to my town and look at it at the local honda dealer. They fixed it up and now it doesnt rattle anymore . When I asked what the fix was they said some special tape. But from what it sounded like they have been getting this complaint every now and then and are trying to come up with a permanent fix to it.

 

that sounds good that they fixed it....I still have 1600 miles on my 06, I guess Im gonna mention this to my dealer when It goes in for its first oil change...probably next year.
