Exclamation Is it my transmission??

Hey guys.. okay I have an 04 tl and when I'm driving down the road and I'm going a steady speed for about 30 seconds or so, my car starts to make this weird sound. It sounds like my engine is revving up or something. I'm not too sure about how to describe it but the sound goes away once I speed up a little or slow down a little. It does it nearly every time I drive my car. Can somebody help me and let me know what this sound is?

When you drive for 30 seconds your car makes a sound the goes away when you speed up or slow down? Have you checked the flux capacitor modulator?

Need a lot more info.. but from the little information you did give, probably belt related. A worn belt pulley / bearing sometimes make noise and noise goes away after modulating RPM.

You say it sounds like your engine is revving up, what do your rpm's say? Are they actually fluctuating?

When you lightly step on the accelerator going 30-40 MPH do you hear the noise?
I have a distinct whine when even lightly stepping on the gas cruising at 30-40 mph.
I was told it's my diff bearings

Haha apparently OP has never seen Back to the Future. Or maybe he has, and he actually thinks his TL is a Delorean.

Considering his SN has "kid" in it, I'm guessing any reference past 2000 will not be understood.
