My first post! Been reading you guys for a while though..Clutch problem.

Hi all - I finally have joined after reading board for MANY hours the last 9 months (bought my TL in Sept. 09) and you all have been very helpful.

I am concerned my clutch needs replacement (I can tell it's slipping). Any comments? I bought the car from a dealer with 43k and I am 53k now. Is this normal? I am not an over aggressive driver and have been driving MT since age 15.

welcome to the forum- be sure to register with acura as owner 1-800-382-2238x5 need cars VIN
ask if all recalls are taken care of

does the clutch actually slip- revs without accellerating.. or just lose pedal pressure when held down?
there is a slave cylinder issue in that case

If its clutch it is all the way gone now- special design pressure plate makes pedal feel great right up until the day its totally gone~
anywhere from $1500 to 2800 is cost, p plate is really expensive and takes a special tool to install
NOT a job for joe trans swappers down the road- a place and tech with several TL experiences is what you want
start calling around
