My '06 6MT got flooded

Wasn't exactly sure where to put this but my 06 TL 6MT flooded this weekend and I'm pretty sure the insurance will total it out. I'm trying to figure out if its worth buying back and if I do buy it back how hard would it be to get running again.

I wouldn't... You'll likely have electrical problems from here on end.

That is kinda what i thought as well. If I did try id never expect it to be the same, just something to drive until i bought something else. Im 99% positive the ECU is fried and id need another. Or i guess i could just part it out

The wonderful thing about buying a car that was flooded/had extensive repairs is that every time the smallest thing goes wrong you're thinking "it's because of the flood!". You don't trust the car at all anymore and it just removes the fun from owning it from there on.

Pass for me.

Yea i would never expect it to be the same, if i do attempt id just gut it and try to have it just functioning on a very basic level. Its just going to be hard to let go

It was parked on the street and the street flooded. The water was over the headlights and up to the glovebox inside

Nevermind I should have read your location - I remember hearing about the flooding in Texas a few weeks back.

This was near Montrose, I just happened to pick a horrible spot to park. It happened the first time at 3am Sat and then again at 9am. The road filled up that fast in less than an hour, then drained in less than an hour

Sorry to see that. Unfortunately she looks to be a goner. Even if it were cleaned up etc, it will likely have issues down the road
