Motor Mount Solenoid: how to check?
Motor Mount Solenoid: how to check?
I've got around to changing all mounts excluding lower trans mounts on my 5at. I still have some vibration that can be felt through the wheel, it's worse on a cold start. I thought just for curiosity of hooking up a vaccuum gauge to the line from the solenoid and seeing what it does. Does the vaccuum vary based on driving? Only check I've done is just making sure the solenoid has suction, which it does.
I've replaced all 3 motor mounts + upper trans mount, so assuming lower trans mounts are broken as well. They are aftermarket, front has vaccuum fitting, rear does not. I learned about 3 months after changing them that having vaccuum on both is important, so if changing lower mounts doesn't fix the problem I'll fork up the cash for a better rear mount
i don’t really post much but I would also like to now. I know someone has to have access to service manuals? Thanks in advance
