Moleskin - Window Tint Scratching
Moleskin - Window Tint Scratching
So I just got tint done on my car and I rolled down my front window only once and my tint is already scratched. I was told to install moleskin or some kind of felt such as the backside of Velcro. Should I put in the extra money and buy moleskin from Tint Protector for $30+ or should I buy it for cheaper somewhere else?
I've read that the "generic" stuff leaves glue streaks when it's hot. But I've also heard the stuff from TintProtector doing that as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i felt the cost was worth it. my original moleskin from an install place was cheap and started streaking really bad (given it's 7 years old but still). i then tried to just use felt but the felt was too thick and made my windows move slower than they should. i ended up buying the tintprotector stuff and have had no issues.
i've had the tint protector stuff on for about 6 months but i could tell it was better than whatever generic stuff my tinter put on about 7 years ago
Yes!! That rain was much needed.
Sounds like I'll be getting it from TintProtector then. Thanks bro
And yea I don't see a lot of modded TLs around here either but I'm in a squad so I see them at car meets haha.
Any tips for the install?
