Metallic screeching/grinding noise when I hit 2500 RPMS...

I just got my driver side CV Axle replaced and now I can hear a loud metallic screeching and a grinding noise coming from the driver side wheel. Same area where it was replaced. The sound only occurs when I hit 2500 and 3000 RPMs, then the sound goes away when above or below that range. Brakes and Rotors are new.

Any suggestions??? Bearings maybe?

My car is a 2004 TL, automatic, 159,700 miles.

If the noise wasn't there before the replacement I'd take it back to the shop for a checkup just to see if they got something a little wrong.
