Lunging on Start-up
2006 base Tl with automatic.
Last couple times I went to start the car, as soon as the engine starts, the car lunges forward. Almost like it was in gear instead of park. Any idea what could be causing this? It has redline D4 atf in it, and the pressure sensors have been replaced.
It only moves about an inch or so, and its on flay ground.
My last TL did this too, but it was a 96, so nothing about the transmissions would be similar.

My TL does this too, I think only in the cold.
Then after the quick drive, you turn off your car, and then when it's time to start your car up again, say like when you drop someone off or pick them up, the car starts up smoothly.
Engine mounts maybe?

the engine have alot of torque so when u start the car the motor mount help support the engine from moving. when the mounts are dead that when the engine have no support, thats y u feel the car moving when u start the car

Engines still shift in their mounts. After all, it has moving parts in it
Try revving your engine sometime, you'll see it move, even in park.
Now if a mount is bad, it'll exaggerate that movement.
