belt pulley or maybe tensioner probably. they make a handy little stethoscope with a rod so that you can pin point sounds like that. my dodge does the same thing when the bearings in the pulley are cold.
when i warm up the car in the morning i hear a whirl sound, also when i turn the wheel. is that normal ?
No-- and I bet it's more of a whining noise.
