Lower tires pressure message. Plz help!
Guys,
As I started my car today, the lower tires pressure light flashed on my dashborad then I checked my tire pressure number showing 28PSI on my left front tire. I have from front left(28) (30)right rear left(31) right(30). Are these too low? What are the good numbers for tires pressure? Thanks for your help!

27 or 28 psi trips the warning. And it's getting cold out, so the pressures will be lower than they have been.
Correct pressures are on the door jamb. Base I think is 32 psi all around, TL-S is 35F, 32R.
A lot of people run ~3 - 5 psi over the recommendation. I wouldn't normally run less than recommeded.

I just lost close to 5 PSI per tire due to the drastic weather change. Just fill them them back up and you're good to go.

I think we need a sticky for this time of year. These threads pop up everytime it gets cold outside.

Different tire most likely. The pressure on the door sill is a compromise of comfort, handling, wear, mpg, etc. The Type-S may trade a little comfort for performance. Since the TL-S also comes with different suspension tuning, the different tire pressure could be to compliment the tune.

This happened to my S as well this morning, I dropped from 32 to 28 and it tripped the warning. The question for me is how long does it take the warning light to go away? As the day heated up the tire pressure rose above 30psi (low but not dangerously so) and the light is still illuminated with I believe the traction indicator to the lower right of the cruise control light?

^^^Yes you are right about the indicator. Once it hits 30 it will clear. I drive about 5 miles to work doing 60MPH and the tire pressure goes up about 2psi just from that drive. Let your tires warm up, but I would recommend putting air into it so you dont get the warning message anymore....
