Low Voltage battery help!!!
Low Voltage battery help!!!
I am getting these two messages and I don't know exactly what this mean. I don't want to take it to the dealer already.. oh man.. new car and probs already.

its new to you - a CPO car?- or its warranty still somehow?
go to autozone or similar parts store for a FREE battery and charging system test
A lot of gen3 go thru batteries in 2-3 years- its hot inside the engine area and lots of electrical demand just to operate the car
When voltage is low the sensors for things dont work right and the car runs bad
and gives warnings
those acura batteries are not the best sold- can do better with a costco for sure or many auto parts store brands are fine-

I'll try hitting up a local store to ask them to check my battery. I'm just afraid it's not the battery and it's something more. ahh..
oh man, thank god i found this thread, i thought i was the only one having this problem , i mean, it was driving me insane man, ok, it all happened when i got my car back from my mechanics for the 30k mile service, those 2 messages showed up on the nav screen, and could not be deleted , i took it back to the mechanics and they tested the battery and the voltage everything , still couldn''t find the cause, but tomorrow i am going back there and they ll put a new battery in see if it takes care of it , ...

Cheapest route is to take your battery and alternator into Autozone and get them tested for free. With a "low voltage" indicator, I'd start with a multi-meter voltage check. Roughly 12.8V with engine off, and 14.3V with engine on. (If it's 12.8ish V with engine on, then the alternator isn't doing it's job.) I think I'd try a new battery if it's at least 3 yrs old (or at least temporarily borrow a decent one for troubleshooting purposes). Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
Hey guys, my battery was drained overnight by my aftermarket amp because the installer failed(see https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...1&postcount=21). I disconnected the power wire that runs to the amp at the battery and taped it shut. Anyways, I used a multimeter to measure the voltage this morning and it shows 14V, upon start it's at 21V. Isn't this ridiculously high??!
Amp was placed Sunday, needed a jump start the next day, drove home for 30 mins and I've been able to start the car since but I can hear the starter struggle. It's not a crisp start so the battery definitely isn't fully charged right? Am I using my multimeter wrong? Anyone know where I can measure the alternator output? pics?

Ok, there is something is wrong with my multimeter. It read 18V on the accord at idle, so I'm guessing there's a +6V that I have to account for. I'm guessing the true voltage on my battery is then about 8V which explains the struggling noise the starter makes upon starting the car. Partsource charges the battery for free

I am having the same issue. I have a new alternator and battery. after each replacement the issue went away for about 3 weeks and came back. the problem does happen when the car starts up, but when it been running for a 1 hr or better.
