Loose acceleration pedal

Hey Guys idk if this is suppose to be like this but my acceleration pedal is loose. It wobbles not side to side but up and down. What I'm trying to say is there's like a gap basically. I drove my brothers cl-type s and his pedal is nice and hard. The car response right away. While my car 06 tl MT. it has this little gap. Idk if my explanation will help but idk how to describe it. There's a lil gap from the point of where the car actually starts accelerating. Any help? Thanks

It has nothing to do with how the car drives. It's just the pedal is loose. I'll try to post up a video later on in the day

I just read on google there's this spring that wears out which is what makes the pedal go all the way up instead of bouncing around like mine is. Like if I slightly tap it. It's loose

The TL is part drive by wire and part throttle cable. You gotta locate the app sensor which is under the hood at the upper left corner. Once you take of the plastic cover there is a nut that can be adjusted so that the wire to the pedal has no slack whatsover. Once you do that your car will be more sensitive on the pedal and no play like you mentioned before. Nice and tight ....

I tightened mine up a couple weeks ago and it's a lot better. The cable is like any other cable. They stretch over time. Just adjust the nut and youll be good to go!
