Does any one know if you can change the audible confirmation when you lock and unlock an '04 tl. The confirmation I get now is a quiet chirp no horn. It is too hard to hear even when new the vehicle.

 

The manual addresses turning the "chirp" on and off, but there is no option on the stock security system to change the "chirp" to a signal using the horn.

 

And even if you could, the horn is so bloody loud, it is nerve racking.

I have this "feature" on my remote start controller. If you lock and then lock again, it will beep -- very loud. You should hear when the alarm goes off (very loud horn sound).

Where is the beep coming from? is is possible to put an amp or a different speaker on the "Beep" When I get more than 10 feet from the car I need to look for the lights to make sure the car locked. I'd like a louder beep too.

MY old Accord had the horn blow for Lock Confirmation - I like the TL beep much better.
