I owe a 2004 TL.
I live in Arizona so I like 2 protected the TL from the Sun, it sits on the sun all day. For years I'm having light bulb issue when 1 light bulbs goes out usually around steering colum, VSA button the dealer keeps telling me that "is your car cover, it creates static electricity N it shocks the car N since all the LED light R grounded 2 the Chassis that could B the problemwe have lot of TL's come in N they don't have this problem. Everyone at the shop has labeled your TL the Lightbulb Car " I do get scared sometimes because while I take it off I get a little shock of electricity. Any suggestions! Thank you!

 

I would venture to say that that is highly unlikely. Although entertaining the read.

It's 7 years old...these bulbs start going unfortunately.

 

Replace them.

It's not really hard at all...
