Left side radiator fan problem car overheating

So a few days ago i noticed my car temp being higher then normal upon opening the engine bay i see the left side fan not running only the right one (Ac was on) i noticed the fan looked damaged the motor was indented almost like something hit it from the bottom and i thought that was the case so i went to my local junk yard and bought a replacement. Upon installing the new fan it started working perfectly and i drove off for about an hour when i noticed the temps going up again so i looked in the engine bay again and noticed the fan again not working. So I'm lost about what could be the problem were in the middle of a 100+ heatwave in nyc this could not have happen at a better time 🙄 can someone please help!.

probably a bad fan relay that's sticking. Sometimes it works other times it'll get stuck.
