Leather on my TLS wearing and turning blue
I have an 07 TLS kbp with white leather interior. I noticed the leather of the driver armrest on the left door and the center console where I rest my arms while driving has turned blue. I never wear anything blue and can only assume the leather has worn off the color and is showing its true color.
I asked Acura to replace it since I only have 30k miles on my car but they won't warranty it. Any ideas?
This is the first time I've had leather discolor like this in a car that I've owned and its disappointing.

have you tried cleaning it and conditioning it? ... have you worn jeans in the car, from what i've seen on this forum, other members have had the issue of jeans bleeding onto white seats, making them turn a little blue

I rarely wear jeans. I am in florida so I almost always wear shorts and short sleeves. I never wear jean shirts. I did try leather cleaner many times and it doesn't change.

Most likely its dye transfer from your clothes. It will stain the leather and probably not be able to be removed. I had a black coat that transferred dye to the driver's arm rest and the console on the TL parchment interior. Caught it in time, but it was too late for our '08 knock around car, virtually destroyed the arm rest and console cover.

I've had white seats in my fx45... I conditioned them every two weeks to maintain them..you need a layer of protection.... Anyone with cheap jeans would leave a mark...
I used Magic Eraser, yep those Mr.Clean white sponges...wet them a little, and softly go at it.. I bet you that you'll like the result

thanks Guys. I must confess I rarely treat the leather in my car (maybe twice) in the 2 years of owning it. I will see if I can get it re-dyed as you suggested. I eventually want to pass this car down to my first child so when that time comes I will re-new any wear and tear items.
