Knocking Noise - Steering

I did a search and can't find someone with a same symptoms.

Over the last few days I have noticed a "knocking" noise when I take a turn. The noise appears to be coming from right below the drivers side (can feel the slight vibration from the knock). It is only one knock and it only happens when I take a turn at >25mph. Car is an '04 Auto with 49k miles on it.

Any input before I take it down to the good ole' folks at the dealer?

Not me. Make the dealer figure it out; it may be brake pad related.

It could be the rack and pinion that make the wheels turn whent you turn your sterring.

Mine was change, but you could hear it by turning the sterring , without rolling, and in D position with of course applying the brakes. You could hear some clicking sound by turning the sterring slowly from extreme right to extreme left.

I'm hearing the same thing you were hearing.

I think I'll take it to the dealer and find out...

It's really agitates me when I drive.
