Keyless Remote Not Working - 07 TL-S

Hey All,

Its been a while since I've visited the forum. Since yesterday morning my keyless remote has not been working & I've changed the battery on my Key #2, tried remote #1 & swapped batteries between the two remotes and still nothing. Even though the remote has a new battery the red light in the key fob is not flashing.

My door locks and everything work fine with the interior switch and the windows still go up/down when I insert & twist the key in the drivers side key slot.

Also, I've never used the key to lock my car but for some reason when I lock the car with the key, I do not get the same beeping lock acknowledgment that I would with the remote. Not sure if that possibly points towards my problem or if the car was always like that.

Any suggestions help! Thanks all.

I ran into a similar issue with my old Accord; every now and again I would need to resynchronize my remote to the car; never did figure out why.

So basically just do the remote syncing/learning process?

That's what worked for me; certainly doesn't cost anything to give it a try.

Keep us posted.

Tried the relearn procedure with both keys & it didn't work. Just for reference this is the procedure I used:
https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...-079-a-556315/

I noticed that regardless of what key I open with, the MID display always shows "Welcome Driver 2" which is my preset. Also the security system works because I see the red flashing where the door lock thing is. Any other ideas? Trying to exhaust all options before going to the dealership to have this fixed.

How old is your car's battery? I'd try replacing that before going to the stealership. Sometimes inexplicable electrical issues can be caused by a low/weak/older car battery.

The battery is only a couple months old. Is it possible the key fob transmitter module has crapped itself? It doesn't look like an expensive module to replace. Has anyone heard of this going out before? The only reason coming to this as a conclusion is the following:
Key/Ignition still works
Memory settings are still there and saved
All door locks work properly
Security system still works fine
Both remotes now have new batteries but the red indicator in the key does not flash

When you synced the keys, did the doors lock and unlock to confirm?

Just to update on my problem, it ended being that both key remotes were faulty which I found really odd.

Ended up just replacing the key I use on a day to day basis. Ended up also changing the keyless remote receiver too since I originally thought that was the problem.
