Ok so I just bought my 3g TL and had to replace the old keyless remote. I tried programming the keyless remote by doing the lock in the ignition switch 4 times. I also tried linking the remote by holding the lock and unlock til the LED blinks, and still my keyless remote setting says "unable to customize setting". Can someone please help me step by step on how to figure this out.

I also forgot to mention that my remote is able to lock, unlock, panic and open the trunk. The only problem is that it wont let me customize my keyless remote setting

 

Does your MID show "Driver 1 Detected" or "Driver 2 Detected" when you enter the car with the corresponding remote?

If no, you'll have to pair your memory settings.

It shows you how to do this on the back of the remote.

Press lock and unlock at the same time to pair your memory settings.

i just get a remote from ebay now i have 2 remotes i programmed the remotes are working good (lock and unlock trunk etc) but the second remote do not show driver 2 detected !why? anything i can do?

yes, i try but when a push the lock and unlock at the same time no red light only when i push one bottom for lock or unlock only one remote is paried with the car the second remote only works for lock ,trunk , panic, etc
PD: i have only one key .

 

Did you buy a "Memory 2" remote?
I have a feeling you have two "Memory 1" remotes.

It should say on the back of the remote "Driver 1" or "Driver 2" unless it's worn out.

Try pairing the remote again, except press and HOLD the lock and unlock buttons UNTIL you see TWO blinks.

The two blinks indicates that the remote is linked to the memory seat.

 

You aré right i got the remote control no name one saya driver 1 and the second just few numbers i have to order again , and also the module assy under my driver seat cuz the memory of my seat is not working i dont thing is the door panel boton i check all fuse and is ok

well today i got my remote control memory 2 ! works great also i see one thing when you press the bottom unlock 3 times the last one you hold all windows and sunroff go open is that ok? !

Yes, if you press and hold the second time, the windows and sunroof go down to as much as you hold it.

Unfortunately, no.

You would have to have a module installed so that they can roll up holding the lock button.

Alternatively, you can just use your keys to roll up the windows so you don't have to get inside your car.

Just put the key in the door, lock it once (turn key to left), then lock it again and hold it.
