First you need a key blank. Preferably the OEM which is 35113-SEC-A01, then you go to a locksmith which will charge you anywhere from $40 to $50 to laser cut it and program it. You need your original key to read the chip info from and write it onto the newly cut key, of course.

It was already once programmed. My car reset when I had to take the battery out to put a new starter in.

Do you need to reprogram the remote, or re-link it?

The 3G TL Service Department/Garage thread is at: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...ewbies-553554/.

Linking the remote is necessary if a remote opens the doors, but does not detect the driver settings set with the DPMS.
Linking the remote is in the owner's manual available on line through: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...t-pdfs-851625/.

For new remotes or ones that have lost all settings, the programming procedure is in: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...-079-a-556315/.

Welcome to AZ.

This will not deprogram the keys, what is happening with the car? The immobilizer info is saved and not effected by pulling the battery cable.

I can't decipher what the problem really is - Does your key not start your car? Or does the remote just not unlock the door?

If its the remote - that just needs to be linked, and you can do it yourself.

If the key doesn't start the car, something else is happening with the immobilizer.

Based on your posts, and the fact that you said the key won't turn in the door now, my guess is that ONLY the remote isn't working, but the key works in the ignition, and since you had a remote, you never tried it in the door. Flip the key around and see if it works in the door. They are symmetrical, but sometimes not cut properly.
