Hey guys i have an 05TL with 5AT and 29k miles on it and every moring after i warm up the car for 3 min, and drive the car for the first 3 min when shifting from 2-3 the car jerks a little, but if i let go of the gas and do it again it goes away until the next morning. Do you gusy have any prob. like this? Also i don't have any mods exept eiback pro kit. Will the dealer give me problems and tell me that my susp. is the one causing me the problems?

check the owner book to be sure-
gen2 has a cold start program that holds it in 1st and 2nd gear longer/higher rpm, and shifters harder for a few minutes - to help warm the engine internals, then the fuel injection can go into -warm running mode- which saves gas!

 

see the dealer asap my trany did the same thing and they replaced it.

 

I've got a 2004 TL that I just bought with 76K on it. The car has a similar problem. It shutters in 3rd gear just before the 3-4 shift. I have noticed that it even does it if I have it in manual mode in 3rd without shifting. It is a shutter that shakes the whole car.

Obviously, I won't get any work done under warranty, but I'm having the dealer flush the tranny later this week to see if that will help.

I talked to my local dealer and they are saying that it hasn't been a problem since the 03' 3.2tl tranny. Any body else having this problem?

 

Use the SEARCH for this section for find good threads on how to deal with the AT shudder. While Acura has not formally done anything yet, you can get it fixed under warranty. If out, Acura customer service will help you to some extent. I just had mine replaced at 60K miles.

Whoa....this is crazyyyyyy!! I have an 05 TL 5AT with 29k miles also and sometimes when I leave the car siting for a few hours, especially at night, If go on the freeway right after the tranny will hesitate a bit also. Yikes! I hope my tranny isnt going out...luckily I'm still in my warranty perid until Oct 2009 or 50k miles....

 

my tranny was doing the same thing. Took it to the dealer and they replaced it.

 

/\ Was your problem intermitent? or was it happening all the time, i took it to the dealer two times and it didn't happen both times, i just don't know what to do.

 

figure out when it acts up, then ask to take the Head Tech for a test drive with you at the wheel

Even if they didnt find it now- its documented - so when it fails after warranty- so they can `Goodwill` you a fresh trans then
