Issues after 3rd/4th switches were replaced
Issues after 3rd/4th switches were replaced
First of all thank you all for the great DIYs and research. I have found very valuable information that has saved me some cash.
My Problem:
I was having issues with the car going into limp mode. The check engine light VSA light and triangle with exclamation point would come on and the car would not accelerate. I found on other posts to change the accelerator pedal sensor assy and that seemed to fix the problem right away. YAY
a week later I noticed my transmission seemed to be acting up. The shift into 3rd gear was fluttering and was not feeling correct. Saved by the forum once again I was told to change the 3rd and 4th switches. Worked like a dream for 1 day, thanks to a great photographic DIY posted on here. I also got the parts listed on this DIY from the Acura dealership.
Now I have the same issue as before with all three lights on and the accelerator not really working. Any ideas?
I just re-installed the old 3rd/4th switches and just for good measure will let it sit overnight with the battery disconnected. hopefully this will fix the limp mode issue but I am back to square one with the transmission flutter going from 2nd to 3rd. I have not yet had the transmission fluid changed but will do tomorrow.
I just had a very well trusted independent imports shop change my timing belt and everything that normally goes with that as my millage is at 126000 so ya sorry I was late getting it done. The check engine lite was on when I took it in so I thought why not have them do a diagnostic. They came up with code P2770- Torque Converter lock up. They tested the solenoid five different times and found it to work fine.
Any help would be GREAT!

Is that the original tranny? What yr is your car? Try changing ATF to Type F, and see how it'll work, but with that TC code your tranny might be due for a rebuild.
