At times my 06 tl will not turn over. If I shake the steering wheel and try again, it will start right up. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on a possible solution?

 

Try to be a little more specific:
-does the starter tun, but the engine will not fire, or
-turning the key results in no electrical activity and the starter will not even turn? Then you turn the wheel a little and it starts?

It'll help with your problem if we know.

 

The starter does not turn. You turn the key and nothing happens. I don't turn the wheel a little, I shake the steering wheel and it starts right up.

 

OK, that is a bit more helpful- that sounds like it's the actual key switch that may be faulty or the immobilizer- loose wire or short circuit. I'll check the 3G garage and see if there's anything there regarding the starter switch
