Thumbs down Inside Trunk Button Not Working

I just purchased an 04 TL like 2 weeks ago and never tried the button to release the trunk from the inside until recently and to my discovery it doesnt freakin work! The remote trunk release works though. I am not too keen on Acuras.....you guys think its a fuse? The dealership I got it from are pricks and have been giving me the run around and its not that close by so I am thinking if its a quick fix I can do it myself. Please help!

fuse box is located under the hood just north of the air box....its a smaller box with 4 clips that you just press and it pops off...

Open your Glove Box and flick the switch... you'll see it...

The switch is to the left of the hing....

As Rodney said, there is a switch in the glove box which deactivates the trunk release if you give the valet key to a valet.
That way, you can lock the glove box with your regular key and the trunk will remain secure UNLESS you give the regular key or key fob to the valet.
The pass-through between the rear seats is also lockable with your regular key, but not the valet key.

If you need a manual, it can be downloaded from the 3G garage.

inside the glovebox is a lock-out switch- it overrides the interior/door mounted trunk release- part of the Valet system- you lockout the trunk access and glovebox together. Security!
here is a free owner manual link- click your year then model
https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...01_OMANUAL.asp
and register your car with Acura 1-800-382-2238 x5 tell them you are new owner of record. If any recalls or stuff- the will contact you. Also register on acura.com and store the radio and nav security lock codes there (when you disconnect the battery the radio locks)
https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?brand=acura
You will need the cars VIN for both of those.

Its always good when its a simple fix- let us know, and if it needs further diagnoses- we call in the appropriate Guru for help.
There are members here that are dealer techs - jet pilots- average guys who work on their car for fun- between us we have seen most failures and most modifications

Welcome!

Most of these things are in the owner book- check my post above for the link.

heres one: there is a handle inside the trunk for manual opening of it
Open the pass thru hatch and reach up.
You can also get out-- if the kids ever lock you in the trunk-- with the handle-
just pull the thing!
