My key got stuck in the ignition and i couldn't take it out. I had to disconnect the battery in able for the key to turn and come out. Any idea what the problem could be?

 

what year? Auto? Manual?

If auto, was the vehicle in park? Was there a green light next to the P where the gauges are? can you shift up and down the shifter with the key in the ignition?

any engine light? Stored codes?

05 AUTO, was in park, i'm not sure ill have to check again, key goes in starts the car no problem, trying to take out only turns back once and wont let the key come out, no engine lights, haven't checked codes don't have access to a scanner right now

 

sounds like an issue with the ignition itself..
