Hot under the hood
I have an issue and hopefully you all can help me out, I tried searching on here but no luck.
Here is my dilemma, I've noticed that the side of my hood on the quarter panels they get extremely hot, even after the car has been turned off for about 2 hours its still hot. For example today I drove my car for about 30 minutes came home and parked in the garage. Then 2 hours later my quarter panels on the top side they were still hot, touched the center of the hood and it was a bit hot still. My temperature gauges are normal inside the car.
Has anybody else had this issue or is it just me ? If so I would really appreciate all your input, it really bothers me

Define "extremely hot." Not just Houston heat? haha
I drove my car around for thirty minutes today, parked in the garage with hood closed, came out two hours later, and it was still hot as well. Unless you open your hood after every drive, I don't think the hood is going to cool off very quickly. Our engine bay is like an oven with the noise suppressing plastics and foam-like material under the hood. Everything in the engine bay is made of metal or high grade plastics, they can stand the heat, no worries.
Shouldn't be a problem unless you can fry some chicken in there. =P
