Horrid sound please help !!!!!
No it is not rpm specific it’s there as long as the engine is running. I literally went in to the store came out and the sound was there. It sounds like it’s coming from the area right where the egr is
Sounds like sucking big air--like the EGR/hose connection broke or sumpin'.
Hello,
This tool may seem gimmicky but has quickly become the first thing I reach for to help diagnose noises. It should help you identify the exact part that is making the noise. Best 15 bucks I spent on my car.
Remember to test it on normal noises (like a room fan, a computer fan, etc) to get used to the sound level before putting the device in your ears and touching the metal rod to a car engine. It seems to amplify sound by several factors. I usually put earplugs in my ears before putting the ear buds near my ears.

Sorry. Your car has the ebolaids.
Sounds like air.
I'd clean and check the EGR first. Remove it, clean the interior with brake cleaner and reinstall it. Make sure it's on tight.
Then check the PCV valve. Remove, clean, or replace. It's a bit tricky to find. It's attached to the front valve cover, kind of under the intake manifold.
After that, stick some tape around parts of the intake manifold, throttle body and other areas where air could escape to see if the noise changes. If it does at certain places, then you can deduct that air might be leaking from that spot.
Check all vacuum hoses. There are a bunch coming out/going into the throttle body. Make sure they're all tight. Check for holes or cracks in the hoses as well.
