Hood, Rear & Front Bumper Fitment Questions
Hello, This post seems large and although I have Three questions alot of it is the picture size.
Firstly ever since I bought the car from the previous owner (a very nice guy and kept it well and maintained), he did show me there was damage from somebody grazing the front bumper in a parking garage it was not repaired because of course like an a**hole they did not leave their info.
If you look at the pictures you can tell that most of it is needing paint touch up and maybe a tiny bit of Bondo/filler in the cracks to re-strengthen it however I'm wondering what may have broken or what I should order in preparation of getting the bumper lined back up?
As the picture shows it is only pushed back >1/8". I don't think it was hard enough to bend the crash bar and since its a flexible plastic bumper I would think its a mount etc that's not straight (also it tracks damn straight on its own making me think it didnt alter the subframe). I looked at the parts diagrams and it looks like both bumpers have a plastic spacer on each side so im wondering if it is that, But I may be completely incorrect here. I would like to get this repaired instead of replaced if possible since it is very costly and the damage seems* minor, but if there is no other way I am fine with buying a new one.
Second, on my body list is an issue with the hood level. When I bought it the passenger side was significantly above the fender line and the drivers side was below, after adjusting the bump stops quite a bit I have gotten it straight and even with the grill and bumper cover tabs however the driver's side sticks up from the fender (more aggressively in the rear) about 1/8". Is there any adjust ment to the hinges to lower it or is it possible the hood is warped? I don't think its the fender as the fender looks perfectly straight and lines up with the A-pillar really well.
Thirdly, on the rear bumper, the passenger side below the taillight appears to come out about 3-5MM and can be straightened back up when pushing with about 15lbs of force however will just return to the same position. After looking closely it looks like there are scratches on the bumper in that area making me think something (somebody) grazed it.
The diagram got confusing to me but I was curious if this was a body clip that can be replaced or if it is a bumper covermount that is broken? Any input here would be great but if it needs a new bumper cover to be fixed I will probably live with it as it is very hard to notice and from the back the entire thing is straight and panel gaps are even.
Again any help or input on what I should order or anticipate in repairing this would be greatly appreciated, she already shines I'm just trying to make her perfect by going the extra 20%.
THANK YOU
