Two weeks ago, I posted that someone hit my car and ran away in school parking lot. I was very pissed.

about a week ago, I scratched other side of front bumper (passenger side) trying to avoid roadkill, it was a light scratch, I wasn't that pissed.

Well guess what happened today. My sister was driving my car, with me in the passenger side, and she hit a curb, and the passenger side bumper lost a fair amount of paint from bottom portion, and it bent the bumper in head light area, and it is popped out (see picture below). @#$%







now my bumper look hideous. I think the last scratch deformed the bumper permanently. So dearly respected AZine members, How much does the painted front bumper usually go for? what are my other possible options? Enlighten me with your wisdom

p.s. Maybe Ill just swallow the deductible and go through insurance.

A body shop can probably put it on for 1-2 hundred dollars. If you want blending it should cost ~$200 per panel. So left panel, right panel, and hood would be $600.

If you don't mine the bumper being slightly off from the rest of your car, the whole job should cost between 6-7 hundred dollars, assuming there is no other damage to your car.

A new bumper is probably a little more expensive then fixing the old one. I would just get a new bumper.

donno how much will it be to paint that bumper, but for me i would spend a little time to find a used bumper..........(the paint job is hard especially on your color..........) just my opinion

 

since I have police report for hit and run scratch from school parking lot, I think I will just pay deductible and get it replaced. Hopefully the bumper doesn't need blending

 

Sorry about your car, some a$$ hit me in a parking lot too and took off...I cried for days. I was given an estimate of $250 to buff and paint and $50 to clip the bumper back on because it's coming out a bit. I'm saving my pennies, will get it fixed soon! Other places estimate $400 for new paint and new bumper, which is far better than paying my $500 deductible.
