Hi Beam Solenoid

The fuse for both high beams blow as soon as I turn them on. Bad solenoid on both? I measured the resistance of both solenoids and they're both pretty close to 0 ohms, i would think that there would have to be some resistance there...

Check the wiring at the headlight and make sure no one has messed with it. Zero resistance means it's grounded! Fuses will always blow!

I pulled the connector behind the headlight and I'm measuring acRoss the solenoid itself. Is there any place I can buy just the solenoid or should I just bite the bullet and get new headlights?

Try the above, also you can't buy just the solenoid, a new headlamp is going to be needed if it's failed.

Hi,

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I am stumped.

A while ago I installed TL Type S headlights onto my 2007 Acura TL Base. I just now noticed that the high beams are inoperable. My low beams turn on, but when I hit the high beam switch it does not engage the shutters. It does not make the clunk sound. My harness for the high beam is connected to the solenoid harness. Fuses seem to be fine as well.

What would be the resolution to this problem?
