HFL fuse location
My 2008 Acura TL has gone through two replacement batteries since I bought one with a 3 year warranty a year ago (Autocraft Gold 700CCA replaced by Advanced Auto Parts).
Anyway, we've all heard of the HFL draining the battery - it turned out that this was the case with my car. What I had a hard time finding on the internet was a way to track down this problem without disconnecting the HFL, which I never used.
It turns out the hands free link (HFL) is on the same fuse as the interior lights (7.5A fuse, position 6 on the fuse diagram). Having recharged my flat battery, I used my multimeter (set to the 10A ammeter and put it in series with the battery) to see how much current was being drawn with the car off. When I pulled out the interior light fuse, the current went from 0.2A (200mA) to 0.03A (30mA) which is normal.
There are videos out there that describe the process of disconnecting the HFL, but though I'd share this key bit of information for the benefit of others: 2008 Acura TL HFL fuse position 6 (labelled as INTR LIGHT).

Google Godin Technologies and you will find the website and contact info. Someone posted the info but I dont remember which post.
Thanks i will take a look. Meanwhile while searching on internet regarding booting up issue of HFL i found a post which explains how to replace a capicitor which causes module to go bad. I am going to try and fix it tomorrow and will find out if it works. here is the link ACURA HFL Bluetooth Module Repair: How to repair the HFL Bluetooth Module for ACURA TL 2006 in 20 minutes
I tried to solder the capicitor but it didn't work for me. I guess even if it worked it would eventually need a replacement as these modules go wrong all the time. It's not the fault of module it lasted more than 10 years. The problem is they are very expensive to replace specially in canada (costs 600$+tax).
