HFD/Bluetooth Help
HFD/Bluetooth Help
I had to disconnect my old HFD/Bluetooth module because it was causing my battery to go dead due to a short, or something like that. Where can I find, and how much should I expect to spend on a replacement? Thanks!
Any of the Acura online parts sites. If you price match the cheapest I had found was $215. Or if you wanted to there is a guy in Florida that repairs it for $45. My mine was done a couple weeks ago and still works.
Before you buy a new chip
So... Before you buy a new HFD bluetooth module, check out this thread. I chose to bake my module in the oven at 385 deg F. for 10 min and let it cool for 20 min. Popped mine back in and it works beautifully. If you're thinking this is an outlandish idea, it made sense after reading the comments and things.

^^^^problem with your solution is a temporary fix, after a few months the unit will take a dump again. This issues is similar with PS3 yellow light and Xbox360 red ring of death which cause by the early generation of low content lead aka eco friendly, the real solution is hopefully Acura/Honda update the lead material that bond to the circut board for longer period of time before cracking again.
