HELP! Tail Light install problem!

So, i'm swapping out for a ddifferent set of tails (04-06 all red) and took the old tail light off and everything. Now im trying to take the LED's out of the old tail and put it in the new one.

Got the LED board out fine, the only problem is that I cant seem to find a way to get out the wire that connects the LED board to the vehicle. It goes through this narrow pass way that is too tight to pull through either end, so im stuck. I was thinking maybe disconnecting the wires from either connector but am not sure how. Any help would be appreciated!

i just did my tails and had the same problem and all i did was flipped the little white piece around so for example if the little hitch on it was faceing up i just turned it 180 degrees so it was now facing down and just pulled it and it came right out with made doing the second one much easier good luck

IF you are trying to get it out of the hole just push it out with a screw driver until you can pull it out. If you are trying to get it in get a needle nose plyer and when you get it close enough into the hole pull it through.

its not hard and its not easy, first set of tails i did, it took a few minutes to maneuver it out, then the 2nd set i put in, the wire came out with ease.. just have to mess with it for a few seconds to get it through

lOl... I just did mine this weekend also and when I got to that part it stumped me for a second then I figure you can use some needle nose pilers and kind of pull from the while easing the small plastic side through with the pilers. The issue I'm running into now is that I washed my car afterwards and its fogging up on the inside of the lights. They are OEM tail lights from Ray Laks Acura in NYC and wonder if they are under warranty through my local dealership if I have to replace them? Does anyone know that answer? Anything would be helpful lOl...

We took out both tail lights and did one at a time so we can make sure we were putting them back just like the other one was. For some reason it looked like the fogging start from the top of the tail light on the inside corners. I guess I'll find out tomorrow when it rains if that was as fluke and hopefully I won't have to call back the dealership and get another set out to me.
