Help request

I left my 2006 TL stored for a month and now the battery is dead. Not only that, but I parked it tight into a corner so that I cannot access the driver side door or trunk. (Yes, I climbed out the passenger side when I parked) So, is there a way to get into the car without access to the driver side door or the trunk?

Besides "don't park like that again", anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm assuming you locked the doors.
or else you would have climbed back into the passenger seat.

the only thing I can think of is; call a lock smith. or Triple A. or insurance road side assistance.

they will have this air bag type tool to crack open the door in order to slim jim the lock. voila, door is open and now you can reach for hood latch release to get the battery out.

I have a hard time believing you parked it so tight that the driver side door handle is less than 5 inches from the wall.

If you did, please ignore the rest, and congratulations on your feat!

But if there is a little bit of space between the wall and door lock, can you throw down a towel on your roof (and maybe the hood), so you can get up on shimmy up on top and lean over the side to stick the key in the door lock?

Maybe enlist the help of a small person, child, or attentive monkey to do it if you're worried about your mass to car-roof-strength ratio?

Shoot. But I guess that doesn't help if the battery is dead and you can't unlock the doors or roll down the windows.

But maybe you can unlock the door and get it cracked enough to reach in with a coat hanger or something to pop the trunk or hood release?
