Post Help please! Oil level rising! gasket leak?

Hello, I'm new here!

I have a 2004 TL with an auto trans. I checked the oil level a few weeks ago and it was a bit above half, but recently it has been rising and now it's full... I am thinking it could be a coolant leak but I am not sure. The oil looks normal, its not milky or does not look miscolored and is not bubbling.. It looks like normal oil.

If anyone can give me some advice, I would greatly appreciate it! No check engine lights or anything like that. Car is running fine, I'm just confused as to what's going on. Thanks again!

did you check the oil when it was on absolutely level ground? even the slightest tilt towards the drivers side like in my parking garage can make it read half a quart low.

Or did you check the oil shortly after turning the engine off?

either can explain a inconsistent reading.

For most consistent reading, check only when engine is at normal temp, car is definitely level, and wait 5-minutes to check (for oil to run out of head back into sump).
