David, try searching the internet for used transmissions or you can rebuild the one you have. If that doesn't work then you will have to go to Honda. Good luck!

If they have Hondas there then they will have an independent mechanic who can rebuild your transmission. You could order a rebuild kit for the transmission on line for delivery to you. Anyone with Honda Odyssey experience will have transmission rebuilding skills that you can use.
What are the error codes you are getting? what are the symptoms? fluid been replaced? tubes/screens been cleaned out? pressure switches been replaced?
just noticed your screen name and the 86? is this not a 3rd gen TL?what model and year. A typical rebuild in US will be 1300 - 1800. & 450 to remove and replace trans.

I thought Acuras were US only - they're just called "Hondas" everywhere else. Are TLs common cars in Germany? Elseware in Europe? (I've never seen one over there.) These answers will all influence your costs.
Rather than buying a used transmission, I'd just get yours rebuilt - if that's what it needs. The used one will very likely die on you much sooner than a rebuilt one.

The guys by Honda donīt know anything about Acura that is not the same! I can rebuild them for 3200 € that is ca.4 165.44 $! And I love my 2005 TL! 86 stands for my Birthyear!
and sorry my English is not perfect but i try my best!
So You say a rebuild transmission is better than a used?
And thanks a lot for your answer

That's my opinion. Our (TL) transmissions aren't known for lasting a very long time, so buying a used one that is closer to failure doesn't make sense to me.
Also - since there aren't thousands of these transmissions in Germany, buying a used one or a rebuilt one probably won't be easy or cheap. Bringing the car to a good transmission shop in your area is what I'd recommend.
