Ok so I just purchased a pair of LED'S for my liscense plate lights and now my car battery keeps dying and i keep having to jump it. These are the lights i purchased http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3D10%26ps%3D63


It says it fits my car ( 07 tl-s ).. im really started to worrry, what should i do?? could i of EFED up my alternator, or could it just be the battery??

My car lights still turn on, clock works,etc. But things like my radio wont start and neither will the car..

Please help!!

 

Was it plug and play, meaning just remove the old and put these into the socket, or did you have to do any wiring?

then it could be your battery, with all the electronics the TL comes with the batterys' don't last that long, I have an 07 too and already changed the battery

i doubt the LED's have anything to do with it, whats the mileage on your car?

 

I REALLY HOPE its just the battery !! I have 32k miles on it. Thing is i just went to the dealership last month and the guy said my battery was fine.. And like I said can it still be the battery even though my lights still work and stuff?? And if it issss the battery then wow.. my battery just happens to die while im changing a stupid pair of lights which is just a weird coincedence..

 

yeah it should be the battery. factory batteries usuallly suck, its common dont worry.

 

dude i have LED everywhere u can think of... lol and my batt died but like 6 month after i changed them,i dont think it was the LED's might have been your luck.i bought the car with optima yellow top and i changed it to the cheapest batt in autoparts. running fine after that(knocks on wood).

I still have my stock battery and alternator, but it's working fine for my 500W system.
Can't believe LED (suppose to use less energy) screwed up your battery.

Oh well, like all the other members said, get a new one, I suppose.

 

I talked to some guy, and he told me it's probably the fact that i let my car on (not with the gar running) for about 30 minutes, and being that my batterie was weak in the first place , just drained it completely. I also just charged my battery and it read full charge after just 20 minutes of charging. I think the battery is just screwy and needs to be replaced. The led takes almost energy, so it cant be the culprit..

 

i remember there is a stb about bluetooth system not shutting down correctly and slowly drainning ur battery. Models affected are 07-08..

Damn thats it!! Whenver im close to my car and my phone rings it sometimes goes str8 to bluetooth with my car.. How do I turn it off?!?

And what does sbl and hfl stand for??
