HELP! My car won’t start and it was working perfectly... key is flashing on my dash
Went to the gas station and pumped gas then my 04 automatic TL didn’t start back up! While trying to get my car started I noticed the green key flashing so immediately I thought had to do something with my security system. Regardless I went ahead and tried jumpstart it and “nada” . Then I got some locksmith to make me a newly programed key and nothing again. He said I need to replace the immobilizer unit or maybe I have a computer issue 😖😖😖
question #1 is there any other thing I can check before spending all that money ( btw the guy is not a mechanic of any sort only a locksmith with the key programming equipment) ??
question # 2 if not is there any way I can bypass the immobilizer unit even if I rust the security feature (this if it saves me money will be my last resort) ?

It doesn’t start at all it only cranks and green key on dash won’t stop flashing. Normally it would flash a couple times then it goes off and the car started that is why I think it has to do with the alarm/security system.

I’m not a mechanic but I’m going thru financial hardship now so I just tried to figure out the cheapest way of getting my car started (I know in the end this could be more expensive but that is the gamble i decided to do at this point) but at least since the locksmith didn’t get the car started so lucky me I didn’t get charged. I was reading other forums from here with the same problem and found out that could be a blown fuse and turned out is fuse #8(IGP) under the hood as soon as I got that replaced the key stopped flashing but now I got a different issue it keeps blowing that fuse in attempt to start the vehicle so I guess I got an electrical problem idk. My brother conected the computer and he got a “bcm code” smh
does someone have a clue of what I could do next!!! Help

Wait, BCM has to do with the immobilizer from what I gather. Sorry, but you're probably going to need a dealer to look at this...
It's also possible that you are getting the BCM code because the locksmith screwed up your immobilizer system....

The key works now but it still doesn’t start, but the locksmith just reprogramed the key but that did not work and the key on the dash was still flashing so I was checking all the fuses today and figured out #8 which is the IGP fuse was blown so I replaced it and it started but kind of shaking then it shut itself off and I checked the fuse again and it got blown and the dash key symbol on the dash (that ussually means it’s the Imobilizer) started flashing again when the fuse got blown again!
So scratch immobilizer now basically keeps blowing fuse number 8 under the hood every time I try and get the car started
